Abstract
Objective: To observe the clinical effects of Tangzhi Shuangtiao Prescription(TZSTP) in intervening patients with type 2 pre-diabetes. Method: The 68 patients with pre-diabetes were randomly divided into treatment group(34 cases) and con-trol group(34 cases). All patients received lifestyle intervention and health education. Besides, patients in the treatment group were treated with self-made TASTP. After 6 months, the fasting blood glucose(FBG), postprandial blood glucose(PBG), glycosy-lated hemoglobin(Hb A1c), blood lipids(TG, TC, HDL-C, and LDL-C), and other indexes of the two groups were observed. Re-sults: After treatment, the content of FBG, 2 h PG and Hb A1 c decreased in both group(P0.05, P0.01). Both methods of the two groups could improve the metabolism of blood lipids, TG of the treatment group decreased significantly and HDL-C in-creased(P0.05). The Effects of the treatment group was better than that of the control group(P0.05). Conclusions: TZSTP combined with lifestyle intervention could lower the blood glucose and blood lipids of type 2 pre-diabetes patients, thus preventing the occurrence of type 2 diabetes.
