Analysis and experiment of automatic configuration for IPv6 based on Linux

Abstract

Concerning the insufficiency in the knowledge of the characteristics and configuration of IPv6,the new characteristics of IPv6 was provided compared with IPv4 and the concept of link-local address under the stateless address autoconfiguration of IPv6 was introduced.The global address configuration of the stateless address autoconfiguration of IPv6,the stateless and stateful address autoconfiguration of DHCPv6 in Linux operating system were analyzed respectively through the method of capture packets with wireshark.
