Abstract
Effects soil crust on the water movement in Maowusu sand land were investigated under the artificial rain and natural raing.The results showed that soil crust could intercept the rainfall infiltration.The greater the rainfall intensity,the greater interception,and vice versa.Crust can retaini soil humidity;under 5~60 cm soil depth,the moisture of soil with crust was 4.6 times more than that without crust after 24-hour of rainfall.Soil crust can prolong the water infiltrations time in depth seep,slowdown the speed of leakage.The crust can be also to hold back the water to be evaporated quickly,the time of evaporation to 3%,soil moisture in the soil with crust was 5~6 days delay longer than that without crust.
