Abstract
Through operative examination of 110 eyes of primary open angle glaucoma under microscopy, the region of the chamberangle obstruction can be determined in most of these cases. Patients with sole obstruction of trabecular or Schlemm's canal are rare. Most of these cases, especially the patients with late glaucoma had obstruction both in Schlemm's canal and trabecular. When Schlemm's canal is seriously obstructed, the trabecular meshwork and external collector channels will obstruct subsequently, both functionally and organically. The essential appearenee of different type of open-angle glaucoma under microscopy with their main obstruction site in trabecular meshwork, schlemm's canal or external collector channels is described in the paper.
