Abstract
Aimed at improving the measurement accuracy of coordinate measuring machine designed for crystallizers,this paper introduces the use of homogeneous coordinate and its coordinate transformation to develop the model of the probe center relative to reference coordination system in the base.The results indicate that the measurement model allows a comprehensive compensation of 21 geometric errors and gives 30%~40% coordinate measuring machine accuracy.The study of increasing accuracy by means of error compensation,which represents an improvement over the traditional design concept,means the change from the improved manufacture precision of work pieces to the improved stability of the system and increased measurement accuracy.
