Abstract
[Objective] To analyze the status of hearing impairment in high risk neonates and their high risk factors. [Methods] 224 high risk neonates in NICU of Changgang General Hospital was screened by distortion product otoacoustic emission (DPOAE), and re-screening was performed for the neonates with positive result, moreover, ABR test was conducted to the neonates with positive result of re-screening. [Results] The negative rate of initial screening for hearing impairment was 67.63% (303 / 448), and the negative rate of re-screening was 86.90% (126 / 145) . the All the babies who didn’t pass the test would receive screening again after 4-6 weeks. 14 neonates who failed to pass the hearing re-screening was detected by ABR at the time of third to forth month, and the hearing of ears of three neonates decreased; moreover, five neonates showed the monaural hearing declined. The incidence of deaf among high risk neonates in NICU was3.57% (8 / 224). [Conclusion] The high-risk neonates in NICU are the high risk people of hearing impairment, related detection should be paid for them.
