Abstract
In order to ensure the mining operation successfully converted from the underground to the surface,the dangers of the underground goaf and the detection technology were analyzed.In favorable to the detection and treatment,the goaf formed from the underground mining were classified according to the causes of the formations.The analysis held that the dangers of the goaf to the surface mining would be mainly including the economic benefit decreased,the continued production in difficult,the production safety affected by the goaf and the surface drilling and blasting difficult.The geophysical method could be a practical goaf detection method.The high density electric method was confirmed by the present stage practices as a most effective single detection method.The mechanical detection method would be suitable to verify the uncertain goaf.
