Preliminary Studies of Digestive Enzyme Activities in Larva of Cyrtotrachelus buqueti

The present study evaluated the activities of the main digestive enzymes(hemicellulase,pectinase,amylase and cellulase)in forestry important Cyrtotrachelus buqueti larvae.The assays were performed on extracts obtained from the digestive glands of wild individuals and were carried out in triplicate at temperatures ranging from 40℃ to 55℃ using glass test tubes.Maximum activity for amylase,hemicellulase,cellulase,and pectinase was measured at pH6.0~7.5 and that of protease at pH2.5,while pH profiles of protease activity showed important differences between them.The activity order of enzymes from Cyrtotrachelus buqueti larvae are arranged as hemicellulasepectinasecellulaseamylasesucraselipaseprotease.The result was that hemicellulase had the highest activity under 55℃ and pH7.5.
