Abstract

A practical method of buffeting analysis in time domain for cable-stayed bridges was presented based on the mode integration theory.Analysis and computation model of time domain buffeting of cable-stayed bridge was built up on the basis of numerically simulating the stochastic wind field around the bridge.Using this mothed,the process of transformation of self-excited force into time domain was simplified,and the influence of aerodynamic stiffness,aerodynamic damping and aerodynamic coupling on structure response was considered,so that the computation efficiency of buffeting analysis for cable-stayed bridge was improved.By applying this method to a large-span cable-stayed bridge,the validity and feasibility of this method was verified.
