Effect of Qingfei Peiyuan Micro Pills on AIDS patients of pulmonary infection with syndrome of phlegm-heat obstructing lung

Objective: To observe the effect of QingfeiPeiyuan Micro Pills on AIDS patients of pulmonary infection with syndrome of phlegm-heat obstructing the lung, indicating the inl uence of signs and symptoms and the quality of life. Methods: 141 AIDS patients of pulmonary infection with syndrome of phlegm-heat obstructing the lung were randomly divided into treatment group(94 cases) and control group(47cases). The treatment group was given basic treatment of western medicine combined with QingfeiPeiyuan Micro Pills, the control group was given the basic treatment of western medicine. Treatment 4 weeks, and followed up to 12 weeks, to observe the patient's signs and symptoms and changes in quality of life. Results: QingfeiPeiyuan Micro Pills could improve the patient's signs and symptoms, the treatment group was improved obviously than control group.On the 7th, 21th, 28th day, there were significant differences in two groups(P0.05). For improving the patient's quality of life, on the 28th day, the 12th week, the treatment group was better than the control group, and the two groups had significant differences(P0.05). Conclusion: QingfeiPeiyuan Micro Pills can improve signs and symptoms and the quality of life of AIDS patients of pulmonary infection.
