Abstract
By analyzing past data of groundwater in Hangu District,Tianjing, the paper makes a study on groundwater exploitation quantity, groundwater depth, land subsidence and the relationship between the three. Results show that groundwater in the studied area has been over exploited for a long time, which makes groundwater level dropping and the land sinking constantly. To prevent the situation from worsening, the paper puts forward three groundwater exploitation schemes, which are then tested by Hangu groundwater flow-land subsidence model. Results indicate that groundwater level may recover and land subsidence may stop if groundwater exploitation quantity decrease.
