Abstract
The Optimization of the sandwich piezoelectric ceramic ultrasonic transducer is studied The frequency and the electromechanical characteristics of the sandwich transducers with thick electrode in middle are analyzed The relationship between the resonance frequency, the antiresonance frequency and the effective electromechanical coupling coefficient and the thickness of the electrode is obtained The effect of the position and the dimensions of the piezoelectric ceramic elements on the resonance frequency, the antiresonance frequency and the effective electromechanical coupling coefficient are discussed. The conclusions are beneficial to the optimization of the sandwich piezoelectric ceramic ultrasonic transducer
