Mixture sowing experiment of perennial grass in Sichuan Alpine Pasture region

Forage yields of mixture sowing combinations of perennial grasses from 2001 to 2004 were determined in this paper.The results demonstrated that in four combinations,combination(Elymus dahuricus 5(kg/hm~(2)),Lolium perenne 10 kg/hm~(2),Elymus sibiricus 5 kg/hm~(2),Medicago sativa 30 kg/hm~(2)) had the highest forage yield,average fresh weight and hay yield of three years(except for the planting year) were 54.152 t/hm~(2)and 12.463 t/hm~(2) respectively.And comparing with other combinations,the difference was significant at 0.01 level.It was the best combination in grassland planting and returning grassland from cropland of Sichuan Alpine Pasture Region.
