Abstract
The application of steel girder to main span and concrete girders to side spans of a cable-stayed bridge or continuous girder bridge, and jointing of the two kinds of the girders in a reasonable way at their appropriate places will greatly improve the performance of the bridge and will easily realize long spans, and the design of joint parts of the girders is often one of the critical design techniques for the bridge. In this paper, the structural types and features of the joint parts and the latest development of the design technique for the parts are dealt with.
