Abstract

quinolinylazo) 1,5 dihydroxybenzene(QADHB) was synthetized and color reaction of copper(Ⅱ) with QADHB was studied. In cetyltrimethylammonium bromide(CTMAB) medium and pH=4.0 buffer solution,QADHB can react with copper(Ⅱ)to form a stable 2∶1 complex. The molar absorptivity is 2 12×10 4L·mol -1 ·cm -1 at540nm.Beer's law is obeyed in the range of 0—30μg/25mL.This method was applied to the determination of copper in environmental sample with satisfactory results.
