Abstract
In order to analyze the long-period seismic response of long-span cable-stayed bridge on soft foundation,an integral finite element model of a long-span cable-stayed bridge based on Penzien model was built by using some assistant softwares just like ANSYS software and SHAKE soil stratum seismic response analysis program. The seismic response of free field was comparatively analyzed by choosing a long-period seismic wave and a normal seismic wave.Based on this, the seismic response of cable-stayed bridge in consideration of soil-structure interaction was investigated. It is observed that(1) the adverse effect of long-period seismic ground motion on soft foundation is far more greater than that of normal seismic ground motion, and certain soil layer was liquefied and lost bearing capacity;(2) the long-span cable-stayed bridge on soft foundation is quite sensitive to long-period seismic ground motion, and the seismic response of the structure to this seismic ground motion is much greater than that to normal seismic ground motion.
