Effects of different polishing and glazing methods on the ceramic rough surface

Abstract
Objective To compare the effects of different polishing and glazing methods on the ceramic rough surface.Methods Twenty-four ceramic samples were divided into four groups according to different polishing and glazing methods.Roughness of ceramic samples were measured and the data were analyzed.the surfaces microstructures were observed by the Stereoscopic Microscope and Scanning Electron Microscope(SEM).Results There were no significant differences in surface roughness values in polishing and glazing(P0.05).there were similar surfaces in polishing and glazing samples.Conclusion The surface roughness of polished ceramic samples could be equal to the glazed ones.
