Abstract
Low weir is widely used in medium and small water conservancy projects. However, few studies are made on hydraulic design of low weir including design criterions and parameter selection, which results in less economic and reasonable low weir design derived from standards and experience of high weir.In order to save time and cost, the method of numerical simulation is introduced.Base on realizable two phase turbulent model and VOF method, this paper studies the relativity of the height and discharge coefficient in low weir when P/H is about 1.31,and provides suggestions for the design of low weir.
