Abstract

A review is given to traditional biological technology for ammonium removal at first. Then the property and applied prospect of new methods such as Shortcut nitrification and denitrification, Simultaneous nitrification and denitrification, Aerobic denitrification, Anaerobic AMMonium Oxidation and Oxygen Limited Autotrophic Nitrification Denitrification are analyzed in detail.
