Abstract
Construction of integrative inflow wetland system for Guanting Reservoir is aimed to restore function of drinking water source for the second largest reservoir in Beijing.Based on all-round investigation,monitoring and analysis,a system comprising of a pre-reservoir and constructed wetland is created.The system has broken the technical bottle-neck in ecological recovery in reservoir catchments and successfully achieved the goal of improving water quality in the reservoir.A technical system suitable for integrated management of reservoir ecological environment in low-temperature climate in northern China is created and it has contributed to the recovery of Guanting Reservoir as a drinking water source.A sustainable and effective approach has been explored for water quality protection and ecological rehabilitation.
