Abstract
It is a hotspot of ocean resources exploitation to apply wave energy to generate electricity. The shoreline wavepower device of oscillating water column (OWC) is an important part of various waveenergy device studies. The efficiency of absorbing wave energy is an important factor we must consider in the course of designing waveenergy converters. In this paper, we determine the relations and laws of slope of the bottom, width of chamber, frequency response and efficiency of absorbing energy through the model experiment. Meanwhile, we validate the reliability of an theoretical calculating method, which has some reference values for designing and locating wavepower stations.
