Abstract
In pre-modern China,the concept of has already been a heated topic of debate,not to mention the frequent use of dream image in literature.Li Yu,a famous ci poet during the Five dynasties,has shown particular interest in using the image dream in his ci poetry that over one third of his work contains descriptions of dream.The article approaches Li Yu's dream image by comparing and contrasting it with his predecessors.
