Research progress of effects of vascular endothelial growth factor in gastric cancer

Abstract

In the growth and metastasis process of gastric cancer,angiogenesis is the important foundation.As the factor that promotes angiogenesis,vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF) is drawing increasing attention.At present,studies on gastric cancer and VEGF have become a focus of research.Many studies have found that VEGF is closely related to the evolution and metastasis of gastric cancer.However,there are many inconsistencies among these studies.Therefore,this paper reviews the relationship between VEGF and gastric cancer.
