Application of Virtual Instrument in Lab Teaching

Abstract

Virtual instrument technique and basic composition principles for the software and the hardware of the virtual instruments are introduced.Virtual instrument technique is used in lab teaching of protective relaying.A protective relaying system based on virtual instrument is designed and a simulation experiment of zero-sequence protection and distance protection based on virtual instrument is done.The results show that virtual instrument technique can find a wide application in power system and can be a development direction in the future.
