Abstract

Objective To investigated the expression of P-glycoprotein( P-gp), multidrug resistance relation protein(MRP), lung resistance protein(LRP) in nasopharyngeal carcinoma(NPC). Relationship between various histopathological, with or without lymph-node in neck, clinical stage for P-gp, MRP and LRP were analysis. Methods The expression of P-gp, MRP and LRP was studied by immunohistochemistry we studied in 54 cases of NPC.Results P-gp, MRP and LRP were expressed with different degree. There were no relationship could be established between histopathological, clinical stage and lymph-node in neck to expression of P-gp ,MRP and LRP. P-gp expression related not with MRP and LRP, but MRP expression positive correlated with the LRP expression. Conclusion P-gp ,MRP and LRP expression analysed by immunohistochemistry may be useful in selecting anticancer-drug and providing prognostic information in NPC patients.
