THE RESOURCE OF HEILONGJIANG PHEASANTS

This paper reports the resource of Heilongjiang pheasants. There are species of Galliformes in Heilongjiang province, 5 species of Grouse (Tetraonida ) and 3 species of Phasianidae. Heilongjiang is the distribution centre of Chinese grouse. Willow ptarmigan Lagopus lagopus can be seen in winter in the north of Heilongjiang. Siberian spruce grouse Dendrogapus falcipennis had disappeared within the bounder of Heilonjiang. Owing to the long-range open up a primary forest,the distribution areas of Blackbilled capercaillie, black grouse Lyrurus tetrix and Hazel grouse Bonasa bonasia are decreasing, the population number is coming down every year. Though the pheasants are widely dispersed over Heilongjiang, the prairies and shrubs in large areas are reclaiming to cultivated land, the habiats of pheasants are also reducing and the population is coming down. The habitats of Daurian partridge Perdix dauuricae tends to extend. Daurian partridge become a hunting bird with a great future.
