Abstract
The characteristics of optical atmospheric channels is one of the key parts of the laser communication research. In this paper, first, based on the atmospheric turbulence theory, the influence of turbulence on laser beam propagating through atmospheric channel is introduced. Then we summarize the increasingly important numerical simulation methods of the optical atmospheric channel. The basic formulas as well as several key techniques for the numerical simulation of the turbulent atmospheric channels are provided. Finally, the examples and progress of recent applications of numerical simulation methods in free-space laser communication are introduced.
A significance statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
A contribution statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
Method details are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Findings are not separately available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Limitations are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Application details are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
