Abstract
Objective:To investigate the relationship between hypertension and endothelial vasodilatation function.Method:High-frequency ultrasonography was applied to measure the changes of brachial artery diameter during rest, reactive hyperemia and after sublingual glyceryl trinitrate in 48 patients with mild to moderate essential hypertension and 45 normotensive healthy volunteers.Result:There was significant difference of vessel diameter changes in hypertension group and control group with reactive hyperaemia (7.62±5.10) vs (14.53±3.82),P0.01,but no significant difference after sublingual glyceryl trinitrate (18.23±3.20) vs (18.87±4.35),P0.05.Conclusion:Abnormal endothelial function exists in hypertension patients.High-frequency ultrasonography is simple,non-invasive,and accurate in evaluation endothelial function.
