Matching status of land urbanization and population urbanization

With samples of 31 provinces( autonomous regions) and by the methods of calculating land urbanization rate and population urbanization rate,this essay illuminates from two perspectives of absolute value and match type the overall situation of regional land urbanization rate and population urbanization rate as well as their spatial characteristics in terms of match type in two periods of 2000- 2011. The results show that the majority of samples are at the stage of population urbanization lagging land urbanization. From the perspective of spatial analysis,the intra- regional distribution of match types is not even in the two periods and half of the samples belong to a slow match type. In addition,the alternation of match types inside regions is evident.
