On the Choice of Imagery and Conception of Beauty in Poetry Creation

Most researchers share the view that artistic conception is the focus of poetry creation. In this article, the author argues that putting artistic conception at the center of poetry creation from its very beginning is only too abstract, too vague. Poetry writing should start with the choices of imagery, to be followed by the presentation of artistic conception. In other words, imagery is the start, while conception is the finish. The process of achieving the conception of beauty from the flavor of poetry is in fact a process of materializing artistic conception out of poetic images.
