Abstract
The synthesis of n butyl acetate using phosphomolybdute heteroployacid as catalyst, acetic acid and n butyl alcohol as material was studied. The influence factors, such as the amount of catalyst, the ratio of n butyl alcohol and acetic acid, and the reaction time, were also studied. The result showed that under the optimum condition, the yield of esterification was up to 97.9%.
