Abstract
The regular design method can be used to calculate the thickness of the pressure storage tank's tube body and shell cover, but it can't be used to analyze the bearing capacity of the storage tank which has been connected with pipes. The static structure analysis has been carried out for the storage tank which has connection with pipes by using ANYSYS finite element analysis software, obtaining the storage tank's maximum distortion position and the deformation, maximum stress intensity position and stress value. The first theory of strength show that the thickness of the storage tank determined by the regular design can satisfy the strength requirement after pipes are connected with the storage tank.
