Abstract
A supermolecular compound [Cd(C10H7N2O2)2·(H2O)4]n was prepared under hydrothermal condition. The structure of the complex was determined by single crystal Xray diffraction analysis. The crystal belongs to monoclinic system with P2/c space group. The cell parameters are: a=1.234 9(5) nm,b=1.110 5(5) nm,c=0.801 4(5) nm,β=96.482(5)°,V=1.092 0(9) nm3,Z=2,Dc=1.699 g·cm-3,F(000)=564,wR=0.032.The crystal consists of units in which the Cd(II) ion is located in a slightly distorted octahedral center. Each units is connected by hydrogen bonds to form a threedimensional network structure.
