Comparison study of wastewater treatment of high nitrogen concentration between aerobic granular sludge and activated sludge aerobic granular sludge

Abstract

This paper conducts a study of the difference in the wastewater treatment of high nitrogen concentration between aerobic granular sludge and activated sludge in sequencing batch reactors(SBR).The results showed that activated sludge was of higher accommodation ability in culturing period than aerobic granular sludge,while the similar efficiencies in nitrogen removal in the steady stage.It still is a long way to apply the advantages of aerobic granular sludge to industrial development.
