Abstract
The high concentration of chloride ion causes serious interference to the determination of COD in wastewater. Analysis of COD in low COD wastewater with high chlorine was studied. Methods of dilution, silver nitrate precipitation, mercury sulfate complexation and sealed digestion were evaluated and compared. The results showed that the sealed digestion method was more accurate, simple and widely applied in the determination of COD in low COD wastewater with high chlorine.
