Abstract

High-concentration phenolic resin wastewater was treated with catalytic wet air oxidation technology in a continuous fixed-bed reactor. The experimental results indicated that the ceramic-activated carbon sphere as support of CeO2catalyst showed better catalytic activity. The process parameters for treating wastewater, such as reaction temperature, reaction pressure, reaction space velocity, volume ratio of oxygen to wastewater and the pH of wastewater, were seriatim measured to arrive at the optimal reaction conditions, that is,the reaction temperature is 200 ℃,the partial pressure of oxygen is 1.5MPa,space velocity is 1.0h-1,the volume ratio of oxygen to wastewater is 23.79,and the pH is 9.0,under which the COD and phenol removal rate can reach 92.4%and 96.2%,respectively.
