Abstract

Equal channel angular pressing(ECAP) was carried out on 2A12 aluminum alloy at room temperature. The microstructure in different ECAP times was observed by TEM and SEM.The mechanical properties such as tensile strength, proof stress and hardness were also tested. The ECAP successfully refined the grain size to 200nm only after two times of ECAP.Moreover,σ_b,σ_(0.2) and hardness had also improved by 70%,60% and 50% respectively.
