Abstract
Decomposition of hydrogen peroxide is a key step in catalytic peroxide oxidation process.Hydrogen peroxide decomposition kinetics was studied over CuO/γ-Al2O3 catalyst. The effects of several operating parameters such as H2O2 dosage, catalyst loadings,pH value, and the temperature on the hydrogen peroxide decomposition were discussed. The results showed that these factors played a significant role on the decomposition of hydrogen peroxide. Therefore, these factors should be controlled in the practical use so that optimum results would be obtained.
