Abstract

The paper gives a comprehensive differentiation of three wetland types--natural wetland, semi-constructed wetland and engineered wetland, from their concepts, distributions, resource-environment backgrounds, structures, main functions, disturbances, landscape and utilization, and so on. And it provides some foundations for reinforcing the classified planning, exploitation, utilization and protection of wetlands.
