Abstract

Hybomitra longicorna, sp. nov. (fig. 1)Female: length 16 mm. Frons yellowish gray, index 1: 2.3, parallel-sided. Scutum, seutellum and prealar callus black, with yellowish hairs. Wing with brown spots on cross-vein. Legs black, mid and hind tibiae red-brown. Halter black brown. Abdomen black, only tergite 2 with brown spots on side.Holotype ♂, Baoxing County, Sichuan, 2200-2780 m, 25. Ⅵ. 1963. by Xiong Jiang. Paratype 1 ♀, same as the holotype.Types are deposited in the Tianjing Museum of Natural History.Similar to H. astur (Erichson), bub distinguished from the latter by the longer antennae, the flagellum Without a dorsal angle, and the basal callus rounded and separated from eye laterally.Hybomitra brantoides, sp. nov. (fig. 2)Female: length 13-15 mm. Balek species. Frons gray, with black and yellowish hairs, index 1:2. Frons parallel-sided. Subeallus shiny black. Basal callus black, varied in shape, oval or square and rugose, separated from eye laterally. Middle callus linear, not more than 1/2 o'f height, connected to basal callus. Antenna black, flagellum narrow long, second palpal black, with yellowish white hairs or mixed with black hairs. Scutum and seutellum black, with yellow hairs. Pleuron and sternum gray, densely cove'red with yellowish hairs. Wing vein dark brown, with distinct brown spots on cross-vein, vein R4 without appendix. Legs black, tibiae brown.Halter black. Abdominal tergites 1-3 black, covered with gray pollen, other ter-gites shining black, tergites 2-3 with indistinct brown spots at the sides.- Holotype ♀, Xiangeheng County, Sichuan, 4100m, 7.
