On the Historic Significance of Authors’Biography in Zhongzhou Anthology

Zhongzhou Anthology is a poetry collection of Jin Dynasty,compiled by Yuan Haowen,a famous writer of Jin Dynasty. The style of the Anthology is the combination of poetry selected and authors’biography. In the authors’biography in addition to fundamental materials as their lives and deeds,rich historic literature materials of Jin Dynasty is also recorded, which makes it important in literature history research. For instance,the literature groups,people in Jin Dynasty discussed their literatures in their times,provides us with important frame of reference in the research of the division of literature history in Jin Dynasty. Yet theWu Cai Style of Literatureprovides us with excellent angle of view and topics in the research of Jin poems. That the activities of making friends as father and son shared one classroom,and teacher and students were friends will be beneficial for us in making it clear the origin relationship of the poetry creation in Jin Dynasty, and further the reason why there existed literature prosperity in Jin Dynasty. And many anecdotes recorded in it reflected the curiosity tendency in the arena of Jin Dynasty.
