Abstract
The progress of FEM simulation for metal deformation process is reviewed.The main theory of rigid(visco)-plastic FEM is dealt with.Based on the former constitutive model,the calculation formulas for rigid(visco)-plastic FEM are obtained.The computer system of FEM numberical simulation is also discussed.Finally,the prospects of the applications of FEM simulation to metal deformation are predicted.
