Abstract

Objective:To discuss how to reduce the oropharynx mucositis in patients with Nasopharyngeal Carcinoma during radiotherapy. Methods 50 nasopharyngeal carcinoma patients were involved, and randomly divided into 2 groups, then accepted simple radiotherapy(group A), radiotherapy+traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)auxiliary treatment(group B)respectively. After therapy, the degree of the oropharynx mucositis was compared. Results Of the 2 groups, the oropharynx mucous acute responses are similar, but the degree is lighter in the group B,the ratio of sever mucositis is 36% in group B,while 68% in group A.Conclusions TCM can reduce oropharynx mucous acute radiation response,it is worth recommending.
