The clinical observition on Sinomenine for Rheumatoid Arthritis

Abstract

Objective To observe the effect of Sinomenine(SN) in treating rheumatoid arthritis(RA). Methods 80 patients(DAS283.2) were randomly divided into two groups,40 in the treatment group:SN+ methotrexate(MTX)+ sulfasalazine(SASP),and 40 in the control group:MTX+SASP.The changes of clinical symptoms and signs as well as laboratory critera.Results Clinical symptoms and signs were improved significantly after treatments in both groups.,while the improvement of the treatment group was more obviously than that of the control group.Patients of treatment group had a faster resolution of joint pain and joint swollen.The ACR70 of the treatment group was higher than that of the control group.Conclusion SN has therapeutic effect for RA,worked as both nonsteroidal antiinflammatory drugs and disease-modifying antirheumatic drugs.
