The observation of probing of the lacrimal passage in the treatment of congenital dacrystitis

Objective To observe the clinical effect of probing of the lacrimal passage in the treatment of congenital dacrystitis.Methods 63 cases(67 eyes) of congenital dacrystitis received probin under the condition of topical anesthesia.Results Of all the 67 eyes,63 eyes were influently after probing at the first time,3 eyes were influently after probing at 2nd to 3nd times,1 eye was failed,the success rate was 98.4%.All the successful cases were followed up for 2 months to 1 year and there were no cases of recurrence.Conclusion Probing of the lacrimal passage is a simple and safe method with high cure rate.
