Abstract

The characteristics of the nitrogen releasing from the pulverized coal combusting in the one-dimensional boiler were studied. The effect of coal property, structural parameters and operating parameters on the characteristics of the nitrogen releasing from the pulverized coal was also discussed. On the basis of experimental research, the regularity of NO_x emission in the combusting process of the pulverized coal was investigated. Results showed: NO yields decreased with increasing coal rank, and there was no distinct connection between coal rank and content of nitrogen, and the NO concentration increased while the nitrogen content increased, in contract, the conversion of nitrogen decreased. Fine pulverized coal, low excess air coefficient, wet pulverized coal and high concentration of CO in the gas could bring the NO concentration down.
