Subject Survey on the treatment of constipation of stroke patients with TCM and western medicine integrating method.

[Objective]To reduce constipation incidence in stroke patients and to promote the rehabilitation of stroke patients. [Methods] 340 constipation cases of stroke patients were treated with program of integrating Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM} with western medicine and were reviewed to make a summary. [Results] 48 percent of the cases have released from constipation, 35 percent showed noticeable improvement, 14 percent were alleviated. The effective rate is over 98 percent. [Conclusion] The program of integrating TCM with western medicine can effectively release stroke patients from constipation.
