Realization of Home Bluetooth Gateway Based on Embedded Processor MCF5272

Abstract

Bluetooth is a technology of short-distance wireless communication. Nowadays it is widely applied in home network because of its low-cost, low-power and high-reliability. In this paper, the bluetooth techniques and the concept of home network which consists of information appliances are introduced first. Then the main features of Motorola’s embedded processor MCF5272 are pre-sented. Finally, the solution for realizing the home bluetooth gateway based on MCF5272 is described in details. This home bluetooth gateway includes three modules: the bluetooth gateway control module, the radio frequency receive/send module and the external net-work interface module. And each design principle of the module is also discussed .
