Abstract

[Objective] To explore a simple and effective method which could help infants with cerebral palsy acquire an early accurate diagnosis and standardize treatment approach. [Method] Combinating self-compiled questionnaire and choosing behavioral neuro-motor measured test, and making an initial positive diagnosis of cerebral palsy, and further observing those infants who met the diagnostic criteria to be diagnosed, then evaluate the worth of getting early correct diagnosis in cerebral palsy by using this method. [Result] 684 cases of infants who had early clues to cerebral palsy were screened and tested,220 cases were diagnosed, with an average diagnostic age of 5.8 months, and the abnormal rate of brain-assistant examination 85%,the sensitivity of the method 96.4%,and specificity 95.3%. [Conclusion] Early abnormalities are common in infants with cerebral palsy, and using questionnaire plus measured test method could be effective in helping the cerebral palsy infants access early and ultra-early correct diagnosis, which could provide us a basis for persisting early-formal rehabilitation of cerebral palsy.
