Abstract
Based on Pro/Engineer software,the 3D parametric design and assembly simulation methods are discussed for designing air-conditioners.A 3D parametric design system is built,which a parametric design technique combined with design variables,user defined feature database(UDF),table-driven and programming is used.This system not only can make the 3D parametric modeling for the parts and assembly but also can realize automatic assembly,identifying constrains,and checking assembly interferences.Thereby,it provides an advanced 3D design method for the air-conditioning products.
